Chelsea star to be axed to comply with UEFA regulations?

Goalkeeper - Petr CechChelsea fans are looking seriously worried here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Telegraph have claimed that the Blues may be forced to sell Petr Cech.

That is all because they need to comply with UEFA’s foreign players quota – and are currently struggling to do so.

Now as one of our punters notes, Jose Mourinho had claimed he wanted both Thibaut Courtois and Petr Cech at Stamford Bridge come the start of the season, but is now considering his options.

There is one glaring option available to him and it is one we think he should take – sell Spaniard Fernando Torres.

Yet again during his latest outing, the forward showed that he has no place at the club following a glaring goalmouth miss.

With the return of Didier Drobga, not to mention the fact that Diego Costa actually appears to be able to put the ball into the back of the net, we think that Torres knows his time is up – and Mourinho is ready to say goodbye.

John Obi Mikel has also been mooted as a potential sacrifice but we think it should be Torres all the way!

Chelsea fans. How annoyed would you be if Cech was sold and Torres was kept because the forward refused to take a pay cut in order to leave the club? Let us know your thoughts below.
