They’re currently coming to terms with the impending loss of David Luiz after The Telegraph revealed that he’s on his way out of Stamford Bridge.
According to reports, the West London club have agreed a £40 million deal with French giants Paris Saint-Germain in a deal that could make him the most expensive defender in the world.
The two outfits are currently still negotiating the exact fee and small print but it’s believed that the London club are satisfied with initial talks.
It would make remarkable business for Chelsea who paid £21 million for his signature in 2011 when he joined from Portuguese giants Benfica.
But it now looks like his time at Chelsea is coming to an end as PSG aim to recreate Brazil’s first choice centre back pairing with Thiago Silva already at the Parc Des Princes.
The sale of Luiz comes just weeks after John Terry signed an extended contract at Stamford Bridge and he’s set to pair Gary Cahill in the Chelsea defence once more next season.
