Shock is not the word here in the Football Transfer Tavern after the latest claim from Metro.
The publication seem to be under the impression that both Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand could well be on their way to Queens Park Rangers.
QPR have just secured promotion through the Championship play-offs and now it seems that manager Harry Redknapp is trying to bring in experience and quality to keep his side up in the top flight.
Given Lampard and Ferdinand are both 35 that would certainly secure the experience and our regulars pause from drinking their pints to note Redknapp knows both well from their days at West Ham United.
One of our punters notes that Ferdinand will certainly be looking for a new club this summer after being told by Manchester United he no longer had a future there and would be available on a free – as would Lampard.
The Chelsea player’s situation may be slightly more complex however with an offer from Chelsea on the table and the majority of our regulars seem to think that his future will be at Stamford Bridge.
Do you think Harry could wheel and deal to pull off the sensational double deal? Let us know your thoughts below.
