The Daily Star have all the juicy gossip for us today at the Football Transfer Tavern and they claim that Paris Saint Germain are about to make a bid one of the stars of Chelsea’s 2012/13 campaign in David Luiz.
The defender turned midfielder seems to be on a whole host of most wanted lists this summer – everyone’s except the man who matters – Jose Mourinho and the returning Special One is willing to sell the Brazilian who reportedly doesn’t fit into his plans.
The player is not a ‘Mourinho type’ defender and the manager does not trust him. Luiz has of course been linked with a move to the Camp Nou and Barcelona are thought to be willing to pay big money for the Brazilian.
Of course this summer there is no transfer rumour without the mention of either PSG or Monaco and with the two clubs determined to put Ligue 1 on the map, PSG are doing their bit for the cause by offering to pay £21.5 million for the former Benfica man who is currently on international duty with Brazil at the Confederations Cup.
Since the return of Mourinho, a number of players have rather surprisingly been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, including Juan Mata, who Catalan giants Barcelona are also interested in and are willing to pay £30 million for.
Will Chelsea allow David Luiz to join up with PSG this summer? Rate this rumour below.
