Chelsea star will see out his career at Stamford Bridge

JTChelsea fans are jubilant here in the Football Transfer Tavern as we tell them about the claim from BBC Sport.

The publication claims that Blues skipper John Terry has been rewarded for his form this term and has become the first of the trio of out of contract stars to be offered a new deal.

Whilst there is no news on the futures of Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard as yet, 33-year-old Terry will be remaining at the club for at least another year and we think that it is pretty clear that Terry will end his career at Chelsea.

Despite other clubs sniffing around the defender, he made it clear that Chelsea were the only club in his heart and the one ones he wanted to end his career with.

Over a pint, one of our punters point out, the fact that Terry will not be going to the World Cup and will have a summer of rest is a massive plus for Chelsea and Jose Mourinho, with Terry looking like being a firm fixture at the back once more next season.

Chelsea fans. How pleased are you that Terry has penned a new deal? With a deal having been agreed for Diego Costa, things seem to be coming along nicely. Let us know your thoughts below.
