Chelsea fans are looking interested today in the Football Transfer Tavern with the latest claim from The Sun who think that the club could well send one of their young stars out on loan.
Nathaniel Chalobah has joined the club on their pre season tour of Asia yet is fully aware that next season he may not get the chances he needs to further his Chelsea career and play first team football week in week out. The 18 year old admitted that “A loan is probably the best move at the moment.
“Chelsea is where I want to be so it’s best to play in the same league.
“It’s up to me and the club to find a place where I can get a chance to play.”
Of course as one of our punters quips, there is plenty of talent in the Chelsea midfield and not only does the England Under 21 International have to contend with the likes of Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard but also the new additions of Andre Schurrle et al in order to get a first team place.
Whilst Jose Mourinho does rate the young star highly, he agrees that a loan move could be ideal and Ian Holloway is looking to bring the star to newly promoted Crystal Palace this season. The club are back in the top flight of English football and are looking to add some talent to their ranks after losing Wilfred Zaha to Manchester United.
Chelsea meanwhile have offered Juan Mata a five year contract extension, putting to bed rumours over the Spanish International’s future.
