The sleepy tavern has been reawakened by the latest speculation arriving from The Express.
They suggest that Chelsea’s young shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois’ future at Stamford Bridge could be decided as early as next month with talks due to take place.
The 21-year-old has been excellent during his near three-year loan spell with Atletico Madrid and despite not making a single appearance for Chelsea, he is regarded as one of the finest young goalkeepers in world football.
Courtois originally joined the Blues from Genk in 2011, but was immediately sent to the Madrid based side.
Jose Mourinho has previously revealed that he expects the Belgian international to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, but the player may not agree as he seeks continually regular football.
His father now hopes that his future will be resolved next month.
“We have a meeting with Chelsea and we will be talking about everything with them,” Thierry Courtois said.
“It is too early to make a definite decision yet. We have to negotiate with Chelsea. Thibaut Courtois’ future at Chelsea could be decided next month, according to his father, as they are due to meet with the Premier League club.”
