Chelsea striker attracting interest from Serie A giants

FalcaoChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are keen to see the back of one flop this summer and one European giant is expressing an interest.

The Daily Express, citing reports from Corriere Dello Sportstate that Serie A’s Champions League chasing outfit Roma are keen to bring Radamel Falcao to the Stadio Olimpico this summer.

Falcao will return to parent club Monaco this summer after a woeful two years in the Premier League, where he has failed to impress with both Manchester United and Chelsea, which has effected his international career as a result.

Roma will have to overcome two huge hurdles if they are to sign the Colombian, with the first being Falcao’s monstrous wages and the second, perhaps the more difficult to solve, is the fact that a work permit may be difficult to secure.

Regulations surrounding work-permits for non-EU players are tightening and with Falcao having missed five of the last seven Colombia matches, he may not get the approval he needs for a move.

One thing that’s for certain though is that Monaco will offload the player this summer, as they are keen to reduce their wage bill.

Will Falcao remain in Europe this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
