Chelsea submit final offer for former striker, Everton holding out for higher bid

The Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to an exciting season ahead under the new management of Antonio Conte, following the Italian’s arrival from the Italy national team in the summer.

The Blues have been working tirelessly to try and add to their squad this summer and another striker could be high on the agenda.

Our landlord has spotted an article in The Sun claiming that the Blues have tabled a take-it-leave-it £65 million bid for Romelu Lukaku, with Conte keen to secure a deal to see the Belgian return to Stamford Bridge from Everton.

This news has delighted the Chelsea fans who are stood at the bar in the Tavern with many feeling that Lukaku was harshly treated during his last spell with the West Londoners.

One in particular is sat with a pint of real ale and a packet of ready salted crisps and he thinks that Lukaku would be a really big player for the Blues should he return, stating that his arrival would almost certainly mean the end to Diego Costa’s Chelsea career.

Chelsea fans, would you welcome Lukaku to the club? Who else should Conte go and sign this summer? Let us know in the comments below!!!
