Chelsea superstar really needs to leave ASAP if he dreams of bigger awards

The resident Pensioners in the Transfer Tavern are concerned by reports linking their star player away from the club.

There is absolutely no doubt that Chelsea’s Belgian wizard Eden Hazard is an indispensable member of Antonio Conte’s Chelsea squad, but he could be set to lose his most prized possession at the end of the season. According to reports from The Daily Express, Hazard has recently rejected a contract extension from his current employees due to doubts over his future.

The same report claims that Hazard is reluctant to sign a new contract as he believes this could damage his chances of playing under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.

Hazard has enjoyed a fantastic career in West London and boasts a fabulous record of 80 goals and 70 assists from a total of 274 appearances in Chelsea blue.

But now that he has achieved 2 Premier League titles with the club and established a wonderful reputation in the English top-flight, he would be wise to embrace a new challenge and make every effort to win the Ballon d’Or at another club.

Although Chelsea are a huge club with the quality to compete for domestic and European honours, it seems that Hazard has achieved everything he can for The Pensioners and the time looks right for him to move on next summer.

A player of his calibre should always be looking to progress as an individual and find new ways to improve, and the best way for Hazard to do that is to embark on a new challenge for Real Madrid in La Liga.

With the famous BBC era on its last legs in the Spanish capital, the time is right for Madrid to sign Hazard and hand him the opportunity to develop into Europe’s most devastating attacking talent.
