Here at the Football Transfer Tavern we enjoy a good love story and it seems that the Daily Mail have provided us with one. The publication claim that Luke Shaw is once again expressing his admiration for Chelsea via yes you guessed it, Twitter.
The Southampton player is thought to be one of Chelsea’s long-term targets and has been linked with a move to West London more than once as the club look to prepare for life after Ashley Cole and it seems Shaw wants Chelsea as much as they want him.
In what is becoming more and more popular for footballer’s on Twitter, Shaw took part in a Q and A session, and when asked by a fan who his favourite team was, the left back did not hesitate. The player simply replied ‘Chelsea.’ He also claimed his favourite colour was ‘blueeeeee’ which for all those who use the normal amount of letters needed for a word is ‘blue’. Not only this but the Kingston-upon-Thames born player he may well replace at the club, Ashley Cole was the one he claimed was the best player he has swapped shirts with.
Obviously at 17 years of age, Shaw has a while to go, yet the boy’s reputation is beginning to proceed him and it would not come as a surprise if one day he was wearing his favourite ‘blueeeeee’ shirt.
Will Shaw one day turn out for his ‘favourite’ club? Rate this rumour below.
