One member of the journalism elite situated in the bar watching all the night’s action is James Dickenson from The Express who has some interesting transfer speculation for Chelsea supporters.
He tells a group sat around the snooker table that Chelsea will compete with Liverpool and Arsenal for the signing of Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Javier Pastore.
The former Palermo playmaker is having a tough start to the season at the Parc Des Princes, starting just one of PSG’s Ligue 1 fixtures this term and that has caused him to look for a possible move away in January.
The Premier League looks like a possible destination with interest from Liverpool and Arsenal already stated in the tavern but today’s suggestions from Dickenson indicate that Jose Mourinho could now make a January move for the 24-year-old Argentine international.
PSG spent a massive £33 million on Pastore back in 2011 as their massive spending spree gathered pace and it is thought they will try to recoup the majority of this fee if he is sold in the near future.
We think that Chelsea already have enough attacking midfielders but given Mourinho’s reluctance to play Juan Mata and his possible falling out with Kevin De Bruyne, a supposed move for the flair player would make some sense as the former Real Madrid boss looks to bring the Premier League title back to Stamford Bridge.
