There is certainly drama here in the Football Transfer Tavern after we hear the latest claim coming from the Daily Express.
The publication seem to think that Chelsea may benefit from Manchester United’s swoop for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.
As one of our punters notes, we may have expected the case to be that should Vidal make the mooted move, Juventus would certainly do everything in their power to keep hold of Paul Pogba, but according to the Frenchman himself, that does not seem to be the case.
Pogba has been linked with a £60 million move back to England – this time to play in the Chelsea blue – and according to the player himself, should Juve sell their key players, he will not be sticking around to carry the Bianconeri on his own shoulders.
He noted: “Of course (we want Vidal at Juventus), I hope he will stay. He’s injured at the moment and he’s trying to get fit.
“We want him to stay at Juventus. For the moment he is here so we won’t speak about him leaving.
“I’m just focused on the pitch and on Juventus and doing great things on the pitch.
“I haven’t spoken to any manager or with anyone about my contract so for me I’m just staying focused and training hard.”
Chelsea fans. After netting Cesc do you think you even need a player like Pogba? Is he worth the massive £60 million price tag on his head? Let us know your thoughts below.
