Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are drawing up the pros and cons of the potential plans after the Daily Mail revealed that the Blues could form a partnership with Marseille as the Ligue 1 side are interested in taking Charly Musonda on loan.
Musonda is a very highly thought of young Belgian and Marseille are keen to sign the 18-year-old and this could also encourage talks of an agreement between the Premier League champions and the French champions of 2010.
The partnership would see other youngsters join the French club on loan in the future and it could be an ideal place for Chelsea’s academy players to develop.
This would be phenomenal move for Marseille as they would have easy access to some of the brightest talents in football.
But this is a bad thing for the clubs in the Football League and the Premier League because they will have hoped to pick up some of Chelsea’s players on loan.
Punters are also concerned that the youth players may not get a good understanding of English football if they are shipped out on loan to France.
