Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are aware of the opposition after talkSPORT revealed Juventus have stepped up their pursuit for Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been a long term target for Chelsea and he has now made himself an integral part of Marseille’s side since joining from Guingamp in 2013.
And now that he is an established player in Ligue 1 side, he has attracted the attention of Juventus, who are keen to add to their crop of talented midfielders.
Chelsea were up against Marseille two years ago as they also tried poaching him from Guingamp.
As previously mentioned Juve have a fine selection of midfielders and this could attract the youngster as he could learn from the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal.
But Chelsea will hope their dominant season in the Premier League will make Imbula see pass the temptation of a move to Juventus Stadium.
