Chelsea fans wandering into the Transfer Tavern this morning to enjoy our chef’s wonderful full English breakfast were greeted with huge reports concerning their club, which could spell the end for their boss.
The Daily Mail state Roman Abramovich will hold an emergency meeting today to discuss the future of Jose Mourinho, with Chelsea sat 16th in the table and just one point above the relegation zone.
Chelsea’s latest defeat, on Monday evening against Bournemouth, has faced the Blues with the embarrassing possibility of finding themselves in the bottom three over Christmas- as this weekend’s clash against Sunderland has turned into a crucial relegation decider.
The Blues have sensationally lost nine of their 16 Premier League fixtures this term and have just 15 points to their name, with only Sunderland and Aston Villa enduring more domestic defeats than the Blues so far this season.
It’s clear something needs to change at Stamford Bridge and it could be curtains for Jose Mourinho, with the five board members set for a close vote on his future.
Remarkably, Mourinho has never lasted more than three years at a club and it seems that trend will continue, with the growing likelihood that the Portuguese boss will be dismissed imminently.
