The club of course saw their side lose to Stoke City while conceding three goals, but the Daily Mirror claim there could well be a solution to the defensive crisis.
Jose Mourinho is apparently eyeing bad boy defender Kurt Zouma, who is already earning a growing reputation for some, shall we say, tough tackling.
The Blues are not going through the best run of form defensively, and are desperate to bring in some reinforcements this winter.
David Luiz is one player who looks to be on his way out of the club, with Jose Mourinho failing to warm to the player, who has made error after error.
Zouma is only 19-years-old and has a host of clubs across Europe chasing his services. Despite his tender age, and the fact that he is no stranger to trouble and suspensions, both Chelsea and Manchester City are keen on the player.
Despite Mourinho claiming in public that he will not be bringing in any players this winter, privately he is concerned over the form his side are putting together and is determined to bring in at least a couple of players to end the rot.
Should Chelsea make a £10 million swoop for Zouma? Let us know your thoughts below.
