Metro seem to have a fair few of our punters ready to hear the latest gossip in the Football Transfer Tavern.
We may have had plans for a lazy football filled bank holiday weekend but after the claim involving Cesc Fabregas, it just got that little bit more exciting.
As we know, the Barcelona star is up for sale this summer and it seems that a host of clubs are keen on paying the £45 million the Catalan giants are demanding.
Now as one of our punters notes over a beer, we think that sum can certainly be negotiated down by a few million and it is a watch this space situation.
Arsenal are of course keen on bringing their former star back to the club but will as per usual baulk at the price tag.
Now Manchester United are thought to have pulled out of the race, with manager Louis van Gaal not as keen on Cesc as the board or the fans, another, rather special manager has taken an interest in the creative star.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to bring Cesc to Stamford Bridge and add to his already rather short, very creative list of players.
Mourinho however is determined not to be held to ransom and will not pay more than £25 million for the player which could be a huge issue.
What do we make of this one? Surely Fabregas wouldn’t risk irking Gunners fans by turning out for the blue of Chelsea? Let us know your thoughts below.
