Chelsea supporting punters enjoying a pint of the Transfer Tavern’s finest ale, are looking at the news from Brazilian site Globoesporte (via the Daily Star) – with the media outlet suggesting that Chelsea are considering a swap deal with Borussia Dortmund involving Blues midfielder Ramires.
The outlet suggests that Dortmund have made an enquiry for the diminutive Brazilian midfielder, with a potential swap deal involving Ilkay Gundogan in the pipeline, according to the Daily Telegraph.
At the age of 28, Ramires is slowly reaching the latter stages of his career and our resident Chelsea fans over by the bar feel that Chelsea would be stupid to turn down any potential swap deal with Dortmund.
Our landlord has to agree with the Chelsea fans here in the Tavern, and feels that if the west London outfit could potentially lure Ilkay Gundogan to Stamford Bridge, it would be a sensational coup for the struggling Premier League side.
The Blues have endured a horrid 2015/16 Premier League campaign, and are in need of some serious rejuvenation – so, getting rid of Ramires and bringing in some fresh talent could actually be a beneficial move for the club going forwards.
Chelsea fans….. What do you make of this news? Could you envisage seeing a swap deal happen for Ramires? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
