The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are beginning to get rather excited…
There has been an increasing amount of talk about a few potential summer deals at Stamford Bridge, with players like Tiemoue Bakayoko touted with a switch over the last few weeks.
Another player that Chelsea have been linked with is Juventus defender Alex Sandro, though it appears that a deal for the 26-year-old defender may only come on one condition. According to the Daily Mail, Sandro himself will have to force through a move this summer should he want to play under Antonio Conte – with Juventus hesitant to allow an offer at any price for their key players.
That does not mean that a deal is unlikely, mind, as Sandro himself could be keen to make the move. If that is the case, it seems as though all he has to do is ask the Juventus board to leave the club.
That being said, he may be unwilling to do so, given that he has made his name at Juventus. Emerging as one of Europe’s best left-backs, he may find it difficult to turn his back on the club.
Chelsea, though, particularly under Antonio Conte, could be a very tempting venture for him – and so it remains to be seen which route this deal will take.
