Liverpool may be on the back of a loss against Chelsea, but the Reds are in a good position to bounce back quickly. They've impressed this season, and a loss in the Carabao Cup won't change that.

Jurgen Klopp, though, now recognises thee might that the Blues posses. With Eden Hazard on the field, anything can happen, and that's without considering the likes of Willian, Olivier Giroud or Mateo Kovacic.

It's important, then, that the German prepares well for the game at Stamford Bridge, and it's important that he picks a team that is able to counter Chelsea.

The Blues have been very strong in the midfield as of late, with Jorginho, N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic impressing, and Klopp will need to pick an equally potent trio to battle them.

But who should he pick?

Perhaps a first start for Fabinho could be forthcoming. He didn't look poor by any means in the cup, and his moments of brilliance were clear for all to see. The Brazilian is obviously one of Europe's brightest midfield talents, and he excels when playing more of a defensive role. Given Chelsea's potency, it's important that Liverpool balance the team out nicely, and adding Fabinho in there could make all the difference. He'd offer stability whilst also adding a range of offensive passing.

Just ahead of him, the indomitable Naby Keita seems like an obvious choice. He wasn't Liverpool's best earlier this week, but he's undoubtedly been one of their most useful players this season, and that's a testament to just how good he really is. He's made an immediate impact in England, offering energy, determination and quality on the ball.

Ahead of him, but only slightly, is sure to be Liverpool's player of the season so far. James Milner has been, simply put, faultless so far this term - against all the odds. He seemed like an obvious candidate to lose his spot with new midfielders coming in, but he's shone brighter than any other player this term. He's got boundless energy and he's been able to make a real impact going forward.

Liverpool's midfield is one of the Premier League's best, and this would give the Reds a fantastic foundation to build from against the Blues.
