Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are buzzing with the turn around in the season since the opening day defeat to Burnley.
Since Antonio Conte has taken over the reigns at Stamford Bridge, the Blues have looked a quality side, nailed home by the fact he won the Premier League in his first season.
Upon his appointment, he made the bid to bring back Brazilian centre-back David Luiz from PSG, after a two-year spell with the French giants.
A bit of a marmite player, Luiz mixes opinions within the Chelsea stands and amongst many of our Tavern regulars.
Some say he would have been a natural successor to former captain John Terry had he not moved to PSG, some say he’s lazy and sometimes a liability.
This season, the 30-year-old really is proving both.
Whatever side of the fence you stand on, our statue-like bitter drinking Landlord at the end of the bar thinks it’s time Chelsea cut their losses once and for all.
