Euro 2016 is fast approaching, the games in France are just days away and the punters here in the Transfer Tavern are buzzing!

Chelsea fans will turn their attention from the pain and anguish of this season, to all the excitement and ecstasy that we will witness in France this summer.

Chelsea had such a miserable campaign that stars such as Diego Costa didn't even make their national squad.

The Gooners at the Tavern are delighted to hear that Costa won't be at the Euros but the Chelsea boys are singing about celery and they don't seem to care, they have been drunk for many months!

Germany, Northern Ireland, Poland and Ukraine will be battling out in Group C this summer, all with the intention of reaching the final in Paris on the 10th of July.

With Antonio Conte at the helm, he and Chelsea will want to improve on the miserable 10th place finish.

Here are FIVE men from Group C that could turn Chelsea's fortunes around next season......

Lukasz Piszczek

All the Chelsea fans clicked on this waiting to see Robert Lewandowski but no, not yet at least.

The Polish right back has been an incredible player for Borussia Dortmund over the past few seasons and could be an excellent replacement for Branislav Ivanovic, who was dreadful throughout the season.

The 30-year-old has won it all in Germany and his contract runs out at the end of the 2017/18 season. Piszczek will be at the back in the Poland side adding to his 45 international caps.

Mario Gotze

Gotze has the world at his feet at the moment.

The German has won the Bundesliga title in 5 of his 6 seasons as a professional footballer, and the 23-year-old scored the winning goal in the World cup final two years ago against Argentina.

Gotze has struggled to break into the Bayern Munich first team and Chelsea would be a perfect escape route.

The bartender at the Tavern is begging Conte to go and sign him up but only time will tell!

Toni Kroos

Another German here, this time, a Real Madrid ace. Kroos has been a star for Real Madrid over the past few seasons.

The playmaker was 2014 and may be ready for the next challenge.

The 26- year-old has won the World Cup, the Champions League and 3 Bundesliga titles along with numerous other awards.

Kroos has a very powerful, long rang shot evidenced by his goal against England back in March, Kroos also has two goals in two games against Chelsea rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium for Bayern Munich.

Karim Bellarabi

Bellarabi

Bellarabi has been excellent for Bayer Leverkusen this term helping himself to 6 goals an 11 assists, as Leverkusen finished 3rd in the Bundesliga.

The 26-year old will look to add to his ten caps for Germany in France, the winger has been in tremendous form for the past few seasons and surely Antonio Conte will take notice.

The Chelsea fans by the pool table admit they've never heard of him, but Eden Hazard was unknown once.....

Robert Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowskid

We have kept you waiting, but of course, Robert Lewandowski has to be on the list.

The Polish striker is perhaps the best forward in the world and Chelsea would love to have him, especially considering their top scorer, Diego Costa scored a mere 16 goals in all competitions and didn't make the Spain national squad.

Lewandowski scored an incredible 30 goals in the Bundesliga, the first man to do so in 39 years.

The Polish captain also grabbed 9 goals in the Champions League and the 27-year-old will be hoping to add to his 34 international goals this summer.

The landlord at the Tavern thinks this transfer is unlikely, but feels Chelsea could win the title with ease with Lewandowski up front!
