Following their hugely entertaining 4-2 win over Leicester City in the EFL Cup last night, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping their season is back on track.
A disappointing draw with Swansea was followed up by a dismal loss to Liverpool in the league, leading to reports in the Daily Star claiming owner Roman Abramovich had held crisis talks about the manner of the defeat.
However, Bleacher Report has since claimed that no such talks took place and manager Antonio Conte remains safe in his job.
To that end, they further explain the Italian coach will get funds to improve his squad by the time the January transfer window rolls around, with a title challenge still expected.
The news has come as a boost to our West London locals, who’ve taken the former Juventus and Italy boss into their hearts during his brief time in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Will Conte last the season at Chelsea? Let us know below…
