Arsenal priced out of £60m deal for lethal marksman, Chelsea in pole position to land star

Well, it was fun while it lasted for the Arsenal fans. With Granit Xhaka through the door and Jamie Vardy reportedly on his way, the Gunners propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern were in dreamland.

However, the Leicester City forward is understood to have snubbed a potential move to North London, while the Daily Mirror now claims Arsene Wenger has been priced out of a move for Alvaro Morata.

The Spanish forward has already been one of the names of the summer, having been linked with moves to Manchester United and Chelsea.

Though former club Real Madrid are expected to invoke their buyback clause, Los Blancos could well simply sell the 23-year old on at a higher fee.

With that in mind, the Blues are said to emerged as favourites to land the La Roja star in a whopping £60m deal this summer, with doubts about compatriot Diego Costa persisting.

Is Morata really worth £60m?!
