His future is subject to debate not only at the Football Transfer Tavern but just about everywhere and given the claims in Marca, Radamel Falcao’s departure from Atletico Madrid is little more than a formality.
The striker is now the hottest property in football and has been instrumental in keeping the club in second spot in La Liga. After his performance in the Super Cup taking Chelsea to pieces in the process, the world really sat up and took notice of the Colombian international.
Whilst Atleti could love nothing more than to keep hold of their star, coach Diego Simeone disclosed to Radio Marca that: “We have to be realistic. I don’t like lying to people. I don’t know what will happen with Falcao. We have to make the most of the time he’s with us. If he stays, then great, but I don’t look too far ahead.”
Now it has been all but confirmed the forward will be departing in the summer, just who will land the fabulous Falcao is still open to debate. What’s for sure is that whoever claims his signature is surely in for a treat.
