Attacker heading for Chelsea talks, open to deal after impressive season

The Chelsea and the Huddersfield Town supporters in the Transfer Tavern have been dancing in a delirious delight of late after wonderful seasons for both clubs.

Indeed, the two will play each other next season in England’s top tier of football for the first time in a lifetime, though that is not the only link between the two clubs this term.

Forward Izzy Brown joined the Terriers on loan from the Blues in January and helped David Wanger’s side to the Promised Land, despite his rather awful miss at Wembley. Notching four goals during his six months or so in Yorkshire, the 20-year-old certainly made an impact.

So, the Blues in the bar are barely surprised to read reports from the Daily Mail in regards to the young forward. Brown will reportedly seek talks with those behind the scenes in west London over his future after his impressive campaign.

He’s said to be open to the idea of staying at Huddersfield Town, though the Premier League winners are thought to be looking for a £5m deal should he depart.

As good a talent as he looks, many of the Chelsea fans here today don’t believe he’s got much chance of breaking into the first-team.
