‘Belongs in the MLS’ – Chelsea fans on Twitter want to see the back of star this summer

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern had their Easter Sunday marred by their club’s first loss to Tottenham at Stamford Bridge since February 1990. A Dele double put Conte’s men to the sword as Pochettino’s side put one foot in the Champions League for next season. A number of Chelsea players came in for criticism after the game, although the fans are all in agreement that Cesc Fabregas needs to go.

Chelsea have now got a long way to go if they’re to secure themselves Champions League football next season. The Blues are now eight points off of 4th placed Spurs and with just seven games remaining it’s looking increasingly unlikely that they’ll be able to complete the miracle turn around needed to ensure they’ll be competing with Europe’s finest next year. Stamford Bridge looks in need of an overhaul as the fans have identified a number of players that they believe have no place in East London next season.

One of the first names on this list is Cesc Fabregas. The World Cup winner put in a lack-lustre display against Spurs as the Lilywhites’ midfield was too much for the Spaniard. Fabregas swapped Barcelona for London in 2014 when he signed for Jose Mourinho after the World Cup in Brazil. Another World Cup is now round the corner and Fabregas could be on the move again. The ex-Arsenal man has failed to nail down a starting place under Antonio Conte and his recent displays have left much to be desired for the fans, as they believe it’s just a matter of time before he makes his Chelsea bow.
