‘Bin Pedro, ‘Wake up Roman’ – Chelsea fans on Twitter call for talented winger to make summer return

Chelsea fans have called for on-loan Brazilian, Kenedy, to return to Stamford Bridge after his brace for Newcastle against Southampton on Saturday. The Brazilian opened the scoring for the Magpies after just 69 seconds, before adding another to double the home side’s lead just before the half-hour mark. This had led to Chelsea fans calling for the youngster to return to the club, in response to the club’s loan watch on Chelsea’s official website.

The London club has developed a reputation for stifling youth, as they loan out player after player without promotion to the first team upon their return. However, the Blues will be hoping that isn’t the case with wing-wizard Kenedy. His time in London has been tough with his only appearances for the club coming as a wingback, but the ex-Fluminense man will be hoping his form on the wing in the Northeast can convince the Chelsea hierarchy to give him a starting spot in his favoured role.

In the short term, the 22-year-old will be doing everything he can on the pitch to ensure the Toon Army can keep their Premier League status going into next season. Although with performances like the one he produced against Southampton on the weekend, Premier League survival should come easily for Kenedy under Rafa Benitez.
