Bonucci deal looks like being agreed

Though many of the punters in the Transfer Tavern only saw him in action during Euro 2016, much has been made of Leonardo Bonucci.

Both Chelsea and Manchester City are thought to be keen on the stoic Italian centre-back, who is widely regarded as one of the finest on the continent.

With both the Blues and the Citizens propping up the bar arguing about where the 29-year-old would be best suited should he move to England, reports from Italy have quashed the argument.

According to CalciomercatoJuventus have agreed a new deal with the Azzurri ace, one that will reportedly see him rake in over €5m per year.

The report further hints Pep Guardiola was more eager to get a deal done over the course of the summer than Antonio Conte, who has worked with him for both club and country.

City are believed to have tabled an €8m-per-year offer to the former Bari man during the transfer window.

However, the Serie A champions are said to be closing in on an agreement to ward off any interest from the Premier League.

Who is this a bigger blow for? Chelsea or Man City? Let us know below…
