Not so long ago Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern were hailing Kenedy as the next big thing at Stamford Bridge, but the Brazilian’s development has stagnated and reports from Turkish-Football hint that his London career may be over soon with Fenerbahce keen on him.
The 21-year-old managed 14 Premier League games across 2015/16 after making a move to the Blues from Fluminense in his homeland, but he’s made just one appearance for the club this term after returning from a half-season loan spell with Watford, which yielded only one 16-minute outing.
Having impressed with his pace and physicality as both a wide attacker and full-back, a few fans have been surprised by his decline but Fener haven’t been put off with reports claiming that an enquiry has been made by the Istanbul outfit.
The Super Lig heavyweights are keen on a loan deal for the 2017/18 season and have asked about the player’s availability.
Regular game time in Turkey might attract the youngster, while Chelsea’s well-known policy of sending footballers out across Europe to keep them in the shop window might tempt them to grant Fenerbahce permission to take Kenedy.
Kenedy has no future at Chelsea – agree?
