‘Bring him back’ – Chelsea fans urge stars to return after club’s Twitter post

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to their club’s latest instalment of Chelsea here Chelsea there, via the club’s websiteThe Blues have developed a reputation for stifling youth development and loaning out a shed load of players without every providing them with first-team opportunities. 

In recent years, Chelsea’s youth has made permanent moves away from Stamford Bridge in order to pursue regular first-team football. Nathan Ake, Nathaniel Chalobah and Dominic Solanke all walked away from Chelsea last summer for Bournemouth, Watford and Liverpool respectively. The club looked like they could’ve used some of their sparkling on-loan prospects as they were well beaten by Spurs at Stamford Bridge on Sunday for the first time in 28 years.

The Chelsea fans have been calling for a number of young players to be given a chance at the club and with every edition of Chelsea here Chelsea there the fans voices grow louder as they call for players such as Kenedy, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Michy Batshuayi, Kurt Zouma, Mason Mount and Mark Van Ginkel to be thrown into the senior squad at Chelsea after impressing with their different clubs across Europe on loan. With the club having just an FA Cup semi-final to look forward to and looking increasingly unlikely to secure Champions League football, throwing some young guns into the spotlight wouldn’t hurt.
