Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have heads in their hands this evening as reports from Scotland suggest yet another talented young player could set for a premature departure from the club.
Following the news the highly rated Domingos Quina crossed the capital in order to join West Ham United, the Daily Record suggests emerging defender Ola Aina is a transfer target for Celtic this summer.
The 19-year old right-back, like many others, has risen through the youth ranks at Stamford Bridge and became a stalwart of their exceptionally gifted developmental side.
Still, he’s found it hard to break into the first-team off the back of such exploits even in light of the Blues’ continued struggles this season.
He is understood to have rejected a number of offers within the club to remain in frustration.
As a result, the Bhoys are reportedly lining up a move for the England Youth starlet in an effort to replace Mikael Lustig, who is entering the final year of his deal in Glasgow.
Should Chelsea be concerned about the prospect of their talented young stars leaving the club?
