Propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, there’s been a huge contrast in emotions between both the Chelsea and Celtic fans this afternoon.
One of the quickest-moving stories of the transfer window so far took another turn today as Sky Sports reveal the Blues have seen a bid for Bhoys stopper SNUBBED by the Scottish champions. The ‘keeper had been touted as a potential replacement for Asmir Begovic should he depart SW6, though it seems the Hoops will be playing hard-ball over the former Sunderland ace.

As you can well imagine, that’s gone down a storm amongst those in green and white, with their beloved Bhoys not having lost whenever Brendan Rodgers has picked him between the sticks this term. For the west London locals, however, there’s an element of disappointment, to say the least.
Gordon has recovered from a nightmare two years out with injury to become the SPFL’s elite stopper once more and boasts experience in the Champions League, so is hugely popular amongst our four walls.
Whether or not the Premier League table-toppers go back in with another bid remains to be seen, though these are nervy times at Parkhead.
