After a period of inactivity in the Football Transfer Tavern things have exploded into life today with Joe Bernstein from Mail Online reporting that new manager of Everton Roberto Martinez is preparing to bid £10 million to sign Chelsea forward Victor Moses.
Moses worked with Martinez at Wigan and the two could be reunited at Goodison Park as the former Latics boss looks to make his own mark on David Moyes’ former side.
The 22-year-old, who started as a professional with Crystal Palace before a £2.5 million move to the Latics in 2010, is thought to face an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge after the return of Jose Mourinho to the club. This could see the Nigerian international leave after one season at the Bridge to join Martinez’ revolution at Goodison Park.
Moses made 40 appearances for Chelsea last season, netting ten times but Mourinho is looking to bring his own wingers into the club which could spell an early end to his time at Stamford Bridge.
