Chelsea agree €20m deal with Juventus as Conte favourite nears move, player set for talks

Kwadwo Asamoah.

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are celebrating long into the night and that’s not just because the Liverpool supporters are in bits.

Far from it.

According to Italian website CalcioMercatoWeb.comthe Blues have agreed a deal of around €20m with Juventus for winger Kwadwo Asamoah.

The Ghanaian international excelled under the stewardship of Antonio Conte in Turin, though has fallen out of favour in the new regime.

With the likes of Eden Hazard and Pedro struggling in wide areas at Stamford Bridge this term, the 27-year old is likely to provide some devastating marauding runs should he arrive.

It is claimed that the West London giants have a long standing interest in the midfielder, though the deal is thought to have accelerated in recent days.

There is believed to be a verbal agreement in place as Conte plans his revolution at the Bridge following a dreadful title defence.

Happy with this signing, Chelsea fans? A tad underwhelmed?
