Chelsea and Liverpool enter fierce race to land Newcastle star, Benitez to lose Euro 2016 ace

Moussa

You won’t find the Newcastle fans in the Transfer Tavern complaining too much about the notion of losing Moussa Sissoko, though the Liverpool and Chelsea fans are poking fun at reports from France regardless.

According to L’Equipe, via 90 min, both the Blues and the Reds are ready to enter the race to land the powerful Frenchman this summer.

Following the Magpies’ relegation to the Championship, the 26-year old is believed to be keen on leaving the North East giants.

While his form this term was one of the most disappointing motifs of the season on Tyneside, the former Toulouse man is undoubtedly a gifted player on his day.

Bundesliga outfit Hamburg are believed to have made an offer for the Les Blues star, while Arsenal have also been touted as a potential landing spot in the past.

Still, Toon chief Rafa Benitez has roared he is under no pressure to sell any of the club’s stars following their drop into the second tier, a major factor his decision to stay at St. James’ Park.

Is Sissoko really good enough to play for a club the size of Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool?
