Chelsea fans are coming into the Football Transfer Tavern today to hear the news that two big name players in world football have left their club with both their deals ending on Friday.

According to the Independent, strikers Radamel Falcao and Alexandre Pate both left Chelsea on Friday as they failed to secure permanent deals off the back of their loan moves from Monaco and Corinthians respectively.

The pair only made 12 appearances, scoring twice, for the Blues betweem them this season, with Falcao making 10 of them and  each having just the solitary goal to their name.

The forwards will return to their parent clubs with both their futures in doubt and wondering what might have been should either of them have stayed on under the guidance of incoming boss, Antonio Conte.

The Italian boss however has decided to keep neither on and has instead turned his sights to Belgian international, Michy Batshuayi, whose deal is reportedly imminent.

Chelsea fans, what do you think? Some of our staff reckon that given the time, the pair could have done a good job for Conte. Do you agree or have they had their chance? Let us know in the comments below...
