Chelsea: Blues fans relish Leicester City FA Cup quarter-final - Chelsea

Chelsea have been drawn away to Premier League rivals Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter-final and loads of Blues fans are relishing the challenge.

After a stunning 2-0 victory over Champions League titleholders Liverpool at home on Tuesday night, Frank Lampard’s side should be full of confidence heading into the game against the Foxes.

Although the Blues have occasionally struggled at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have only lost 3 of their past 15 away games in all competitions this season (via WhoScored).

Given the fact the London club beat Leicester en-route to winning the FA Cup in 1997, 2000, 2012 and 2018, author Mark Worrall believes the fixture “seems like a pretty good omen to me.”

He immediately posted his response to the announcement on Twitter:

Many Chelsea fans will be keeping a watchful eye on Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell, who has been linked to the club in recent months. The England international is yet to score in the FA Cup this year but has provided 1 assist in 2 appearances so far (Transfermarkt).

Lots of fans took to social media to post their reactions, with one claiming a cup run is “written in the stars.”
