Chelsea change transfer strategy: Exciting target dropped as Blues eye stunning forward line

Chelsea patrons in the Transfer Tavern are looking ahead to what should be an exciting summer at Stamford Bridge.

Winning the Premier League title should be a major pull factor for the Blues in the transfer market and recent speculation suggests they have some very ambitious, very exciting attacking targets lined up for the summer window.

Indeed, The Telegraph claim Chelsea have dropped their interest in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata so they can focus on signing Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Arsenal’s contractually rebellious forward Alexis Sanchez.

And although it would cost them ‘well in excess of £100million’, the west London club haven’t ruled out signing both this summer to complete what would be a rather sensational forward line, also including Eden Hazard and potentially even Diego Costa – although The Telegraph claim the latter’s future is unclear.

Sanchez is yet to renew his Arsenal contract beyond the end of next season, whilst Lukaku has reportedly told Everton he won’t sign a new deal – which could force both clubs to sell their respective forwards this summer.

The prospect of Hazard-Lukaku-Sanchez front three has left Chelsea punters in the Tavern foaming at the mouth, although it seems more than likely the west Londoners will be rivalled by other clubs in their pursuits of both Premier League stars.
