Chelsea will need to raise their game if they want to stay in the top four come the end of the season.
Maurizio Sarri will be disappointed with his team’s recent form as Chelsea look a figure of the team they were at the start of the season.
They must make improvements with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United hot on their tail and Sarri seems to be doing just that, already getting his way in regards to signings this window, if Sky Sports’ report suggesting both Nico Barella and Leandro Paredes are targets is to be believed.
Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata have just six goals between them in the league this season so Chelsea should really go for it and give Memphis Depay another chance in England.
Depay, (who is valued at £45 million on Transfermarkt) has proven in his short time with Lyon that he is worthy of another shot in England after failing to make an impact with Manchester United when moving there in 2015.
The 24-year-old has six goals and 11 assists to his name this season, as he aims to reach the heights he did last season when scoring 22 times.
Memphis Depay has been a revelation for Lyon but they won’t stand a chance of holding him down should a club like Chelsea consider signing him.
He would pose a far better option to the current options Sarri has available to him and could interlink well with the likes of Eden Hazard and Willian.
With pace, trickery and an eye for goal, Chelsea must contemplate making a move for the Dutch international.
