Chelsea could help build title challenge if they landed £16.2m-rated South American maestro

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are disappointed that the Blues never looked like defending their title and this season has even seen them slip out of the top four. This, for a team of Chelsea’s quality isn’t good enough and now this summer, Stamford Bridge will be hoping to see a lot of new faces coming into the club.

With other teams like Manchester City and Manchester United constantly improving and spending money, Chelsea have managed to go backwards with their poor signings and the Premier League table presents this perfectly. The Blues cannot afford to do this again so Roman Abramovich will be sure to get his chequebook out in order to see his side return to the top of English football.

Chelsea lack in squad quality massively and so signing a player such as Javier Pastore would go a long way in renewing confidence around Stamford Bridge. Given that the PSG man is only valued at £16.20 million on Transfermarkt, Chelsea could bag themselves a real good player and at a low price.

Pastore continues to be an important player in the heart of PSG’s midfield, having made 28 appearances so far this season. As many know though, the French side have unbelievable amounts of money, meaning it probably won’t be soon until Javier Pastore finds his position taken by a bigger and better name.

With five goals this season and the ability to play on the wing as well as in midfield, Pastore may be the ideal player that Chelsea look to bring to the cub this summer ahead of a big push for a top-four return next season.
