Chelsea: Fans bemoan reports over potential move for Sergio Aguero

Chelsea fans were bemoaning their club’s inability to complete a deal for Sergio Aguero before the attacker moved to Manchester City.
According to The Athletic, the Blues were working on a move for then-Atletico Madrid forward with John Terry passing on his doubts over the move to the hierarchy.
Aguero ended up at the blue half of Manchester on a five-year contract for a fee believed to be £38m (via BBC).
The failure to sign Aguero seems to be a move that has come to bite the west London giants with attacker having won eight major trophies in eight years with the Citizens (via Transfermarkt).
The Blues seemed to opt for a cheaper option instead as they signed Anderlecht forward Romelu Lukaku for a fee believed to be £13.5m.
Fans were bemoaning the fact the club passed on the opportunity to sign Aguero as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Stamford Bridge faithful:

Toxic player power! That’s why managers need to be in full control. We could have had the best striker in the league.
