Loads of Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to beg the club to sign Porto left-back Alex Telles.
A Bola (via The Sun) reports that the west London outfit are currently battling Paris Saint-Germain for the Brazilian’s signature, much to the delight of supporters. Left-back has been a problem area for Frank Lampard this season, with the English coach forced to alternate between Cesar Azpilicueta, Emerson and Marcos Alonso. And looking at statistics, going forward, Telles could be an upgrade on all three.
For example, according to WhoScored, he has averaged 2.1 key passes per game in the current Liga NOS campaign. That is more than what Azpilicueta (1.2), Alonso (1.1) and Emerson (also 1.1) have all managed in England.
Telles also makes 2.6 crosses per game, which is again a number that the Chelsea trio cannot match. When you take all of that into account, signing the ex-Inter Milan man looks a no-brainer, especially if the club fail to land reported target Ben Chilwell.
Take a look at what these Chelsea fans have had to say below…

Just get Telles and Adama Traore. Fixes both short term and medium term issues.
