Loads of Chelsea fans have been going in on The Telegraph’s Matt Law after he gave his verdict on Victor Moses’ impending transfer to Inter Milan.
He suggested that it was a good move for Moses before criticising Maurizio Sarri’s handling of the 29-year-old. Moses was not in the ex-Blues boss’ plans last season and was shipped out to Fenerbahce on loan around this time last year as a result. That has not sat well with Law, who was quick to highlight Moses’ contribution back in the 2016/17 campaign.
Chelsea, of course, went on to win the Premier League title that term under Antonio Conte and Moses played a huge part in that triumph from the right wing-back position. He started 29 games, scored three goals, provided two assists and averaged 1.6 dribbles per match (via WhoScored).
To give some context, Cesar Azpilicueta, who has also played at right wing-back this season, has only averaged 0.2 dribbles per game in the current campaign. Bearing that in mind, perhaps the former Nigeria international was dashed to the side too quickly.
Whatever the case, these Chelsea fans are not having Law’s criticism of Sarri. Take a look at what they had to say below…
How was he the season after the title winning season whilst still being managed by Conte? Oh yeah, trash. Short memory there Matt.
