The contrasting emotions between the Chelsea and Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern prove a sewing motif of the atmosphere in here across the course of the campaign, though few nights in the bar have been quite as hostile as this one.
With the Gunners having capitulated in Munich last night, the Blues propping up the bar have been tearing into their north London rivals following their 5-1 mauling at the hands of Carlo Ancelotti’s Bayern. Coming so soon after their dismal loss at Stamford Bridge, the Arsenal fans really aren’t happy.
In fact, their absolute surrender at the Allianz Arena is even harder to take, considering the fact their west London counterparts won the Champions League at that very ground back in 2012. So, as you can well imagine, the punters in the bar are relentlessly firing jokes and jibes to the Arsenal supporters trying to drown their sorrows.
With that in mind, here’s how Chelsea fans slated them on Twitter.
