Chelsea fans were over the moon after reports emerged about Willian receiving a new contract at the club.
According to Mundo Deportivo (via Daily Mail), the west London side are close to offering Willian a new two-year contract.
Would you like Willian to leave Chelsea?
The move would see the Brazil international follow his countryman David Luiz in breaking a long-standing rule at the club where players over the age of 30 would not receive a contract extension with terms of more than a year (via The Guardian).
Willian’s contract situation has said to have alerted Juventus and Barcelona, both of whom are keen on making a move for the 31-year-old (via The Mirror).
The experienced winger has enjoyed something over a revival under Frank Lampard, who talked about how big of a player Willian is following the win over Crystal Palace.
Fans were over the moon after reports of a new contract as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Stamford Bridge faithful, with one supporter quick to highlight the positive impact Willian staying could have on the club’s young players such as Callum Hudson-Odoi:
Remained Loyal since he was linked to move to Barca and Juve
Performance in the Pitch🔥

It makes sense. He’s having a good season anyway, so probably deserves it, but besides that it will up his market value and atleast we’d be able to make some money on him if he goes in the summer which is very likely.
