Chelsea fans are finally getting to see the best of Ross Barkley after the former Everton man put in another good shift against Burnley on Sunday. The Blues cruised to a 4-0 win at Turf Moor thanks to an assist and a second-half goal by Barkley, meaning he is now the first Englishman to score in three consecutive Premier League matches since Frank Lampard in 2013.
And that is exactly with whom the Chelsea fans have compared him with following the match. After spending most of last season on the sidelines due to injury, the 24-year-old has looked hungry and eager to properly get his Chelsea career going this season.
Barkley scored in Maurizio Sarri’s men’s 3-0 win at Southampton at the beginning of the month, before scoring the all-important equalising goal in stoppage time against Manchester United last weekend.
Chelsea fans are now hoping this could lead to him becoming a big and important player at the club.

If Ross Barkley carries on the path he is on in terms of match day performances, attitude and application in training then there is no reason why he can't reach the heights of Frank Lampard at @ChelseaFC…#CFC
