Chelsea: Fans praise Christian Pulisic following surprising xG revelation
Some Chelsea fans have heaped plenty of praise on Christian Pulisic after stats reveal that the American international is currently leading the xG and xA per 90 for players under 21 in the Premier League.
Twitter user Futbol Chelsea revealed that the former Borussia Dortmund star has had the highest xG and xA numbers out of any Premier League star this season under the age of 21. This is despite the fact that Pulisic has only played just over 1,000 minutes of league football this campaign under Frank Lampard (per Transfermarkt).
The winger has had an injury-hit season in his first year as a Chelsea player, but Pulisic has put on some memorable performances already in his debut campaign for the Blues, namely his hat-trick against Burnley in a 4-2 win for west London club.
And Chelsea fans on social media were surprised to see Pulisic’s xG and xA figures be so high compared to other youngsters in the Premier League.
