Chelsea: Fans react to Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s rehabilitation video
Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been out since the end of last season, after rupturing his Achilles in a post-season friendly in America.
The untimely knock saw him miss the Europa League final just one week later and he is yet to feature for the club this season, as he continues to ramp up his recovery.
Football.London report that the 23-year-old is expected to return to the fold either next month or in early November.
He seems to be making steady progress in his rehabilitation, though, with Blues team-mate Jorginho filming him putting in some work in a swimming pool at the club’s training base in Cobham.
The video was accompanied with the caption: “Come on Papaiiii” alongside five muscle emojis.
Chelsea’s official Twitter account posted the video yesterday afternoon, and it’s fair to say that it’s whipped some supporters into a frenzy.
